Shera Sheri ke Sher

Yet again an interesting site during my visit to Shera Sheri-Rajpura.... ;-)... was tempted to see his sales happen...but damn.. time... by the way he has a time fixed for every surrounding village ..where people come and make calls... hutch, airtel...any takers for this ethnic ingenuity???

Punjab De Pind

Went on a market visit to the country side today and I have to say it was one of the prettiest sites I have seen in a while. Reminded me of the extremely pretty locales off trivandrum.... green ... and this is truly green. Endless spaces of land with rice, wheat, barley, and take a name of anything that ever touches ur plate! Punjab truly has a culture and spirit- one which is reflected straight from a warm ''saasriyaakal'' which every passersby or a shopkeeper will give u to a glass of lassi which seems to be more of an ''on-the-go'' drink than wat we aim to sell....
I also took some out to visit ''Fateh-garh'' sahib gurudwara which is a venue as pious as the ''Golden Temple''. Have been enjoying myself learning the tricks of the trade.... traveling is a lot of fun!! :-)

Up-Country Un-ravelled!!

As the up-country stint unfolds , i understand one more aspect of a sales job. You get great lassi up north and some route agents offer free snacks and food:-) My trip to Patiala was shorter than the usual day trips . Somehow the weather and the greenery around made it a memorable day. I didn't notice anything unusual here but yes, i checked the item off my agenda. My day dreaming has picked up momentum as the MT stint gets underway into its second month. I am keeping my mind engaged all the time. After all processing animated stuff adds more color to life than just crunching numbers...

Celebrating Friendship!

Sam, my aid in homework and then my closest friend since school who has seen me thru my hay days and also in lows! Somehow, her intuitions have always turned out true for me..Deepest Regret: did not attend her wedding… Sorry Sam! Sreeja, my second testimonial for u! Yet again, words fall short. A pillar of strength, someone I truly depend on, so much that I sometimes don’t even need to think….thodi sarphiri hai but she puts things in context like noone does for me J Met her at ISB for a short while- only to promise a lifetime of unconditional friendship. Prerna: I started with a group at college which did not have her, ended up with one which ONLY had her! She is my buddy…she is fun, she has a clean heart and she will do all it takes to keep in touch…. And she is getting married yaaayy!!! Kanika, she was a friend before I was born, one of the first few people to see me and poke me as a new born, my best best friend, who I can start off with where I left every time I see her.. An excellent cook… lots to learn from her! Love the fact the our families bond as well as we do… Jyotsna – Hmmm, our story is very interesting. Neighbours in Kenya, out of touch for 10 years an remain so close still. I wanted to be like her… a wonderful dancer, a keen dresser and a very bindaas and practical person! Jojo- you could have been born my elder sister. Smita – did I meet her only at ISB??? Perhaps, not. We met some ages back..only reconnected. Smita has a heart of gold. Seemed quiet to the rest of the world but is really a riot!! A great emotional support, who always encouraged me, is someone who truly has a perspective on life!

HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY!!
